CNTV and Bestv Win Building Right for China IPTV Broadcast Control Platform

After China dedine tri-networks integration policies,IPTV broadcast control platform building tasks rest on CNTV and  Bestv that own national IPTV license.

China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) promulgated the "Notice on Issues Pertaining Enhance IPTV Broadcast Control Platform Building for Tri-networks Integration Areas",which define that IPTV broadcast control platform is joined built,operated and administrated by state media (CNTV) and local TV station,or the two-level infrastructure.

Until now,Shanghai Media Group's IPTV subsidiary BesTV keep original IPTV Broadcast Control Platform in the former areas,and work together with other loacl radio and television organization to improve and perfect platform building.
 
It is reported that BesTV already established cooperation with  radio and television organization and telecommunication company in Shanghai,Harbin, Dalian, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Xiamen.In other words,among 12 tri-networks integration pilot project areas,CNTV can olny choose Beijing, Qingdao, Mianyang, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan economic region,Hangzhou.

According to report,IPTV broadcast control platform in Beijing, Dalian, Harbin, Qingdao are built by China Unicom,the other 8 platform in the south are built by China Telecom,China Mobile will not participate in IPTV platform developmen in the short term.
